Quinta do Canhoto in Albufeira has belonged to the family since the 1950s, and its vineyards overlooking the sea grow there. In 2009 the family decided to reformulate the vineyards and build a cellar from scratch, in order to gather the ideal conditions to produce their own wine. Today we know him as Esquerdino – the Leftie. Currently they produce 6 varieties, Esquerdino Branco Antão Vaz, is an intense and relaxed wine.
The freshness of the sea winds, the clay/limestone soil and the “terroir” of Quinta do Canhoto in Albufeira, where this single varietal is grown, influence its different facets, thus allowing the creation of a unique wine. In order to preserve its acidity, the harvest is carried out at the beginning of August, achieving an alcohol content of 12.5%, an important value to enhance the aromas and classic profile of this variety.
Citrus to light straw color, intense and persistent fruity aroma conferred by the Antão Vaz variety, it is a hymn to the harmony between minerality and volume, making it unique and distinct from the others. A current wine, in harmony with the region to which it belongs.
