With an image inspired by Modernist Art, the CATRAIO brand was created in 1912 by the former Nero & C.ª canning company in Sesimbra, a symbol of excellence in Portuguese canned foods.
In 1930, the brand achieved recognition when it was awarded the Silver Medal at the Setúbal Regional Exhibition, becoming a must-have for Christmas delicacies in the region.
Today, CATRAIO has been reborn at the hands of FAROPEIXE, a company dedicated to the production and sale of fish pâtés and preserves, continuing the legacy of a canning tradition with deep roots in the fishing community of Olhão.
