The NAVAL brand has its origins in the former P. Martins distributor, founded in the 1930s by Paulino Martins, a young entrepreneur known for his demanding and passionate approach to quality. The Lisbon-based company dedicated itself to selling excellent canned fish, imposing high standards on the factories it collaborated with—among them, the renowned cannery NERO.
The success of the NAVAL brand was based on its dedication to authenticity and the rigorous selection of the best Portuguese seafood.
