Quinta do Barranco Longo, whose birth took place under the care of Rui Virgínia in 2001, is a production house dedicated to the creation and sale of excellent still and sparkling wines. Its commitment to quality begins with the meticulous selection of national and international grape varieties, taking advantage of the blessings of the region’s terroir. The vineyards on this farm are blessed with clay-limestone soils and benefit from a distinctly Mediterranean climate, characterized by generous sun exposure. This entire scenario culminates in the production of 100% Algarve wines of exceptional quality.

The harvest is carried out manually, a gesture of care and dedication that preserves the integrity of the grapes (Touriga Nacional). Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats with shakers, ensuring precise temperature control. After this initial stage, a batonnage process and a period of aging on the fine lees follow, which contributes to the complexity and richness of the Rosé Grande Reserva Brut Natural Sparkling Wine.

The second fermentation is carried out in the bottle, according to the classic method, and is followed by a minimum of one year of aging in the bottle before disgorgement. This artisanal process results in perfect effervescence and harmonious maturation.

Orders are normally dispatched by courier (DPD) and can be sent to any location in mainland Portugal or practically all countries within the European Community (see list). Unfortunately, due to very strict customs restrictions, we are no longer able to ship orders to the UK. This situation may change in the future, depending on the evolution of extra-community agreements. If you prefer, you can choose a collection point for your order. If the delivery is made in Albufeira, we will deliver it by hand free of charge.

An important point to highlight is the need to have the complete address and, above all, leave a contact telephone number for the country where the order is being sent. For example, if the shipping address is in France, the contact must be a telephone with a French code, not Portuguese, because the courier will only call a number in the country if he needs more information about the delivery location.

We only use cardboard boxes specially designed for postal shipping. Products are packaged and protected in the best possible way, using only recycled or recyclable material. The filling of the box is made from shreds of colored paper, which gives it a cheerful and appealing appearance. We believe, however, that the important thing is the quality of the content and not sophisticated packaging, which is often discarded immediately and ends up being another environmental pollutant. At the end of the year, there is the option of choosing a box with Christmas effects, but it is still made of recyclable cardboard.
