Of Arab origin and with conventual influence (18th century), Algarve sweets already have a long tradition in knowing how to use figs and almonds. Many of them continue to be made by the confectioners in their homes in an artisanal way. In SĂŁo Bartolomeu de Messines, Mrs. Telma Palma soon transmitted to him the art of Algarve sweets. With her own production of figs and almonds, it was half a dozen years ago that she decided to get her hands dirty again and reborn her mother’s recipes.

With ingredients from the orchard, in a homemade recipe, made by Algarve hands in a family production. Definitely, these sweet and soft cookies are a guaranteed coziness to the soul and the palate.

Orders are normally dispatched by courier (DPD) and can be sent to any location in mainland Portugal or practically all countries within the European Community (see list). Unfortunately, due to very strict customs restrictions, we are no longer able to ship orders to the UK. This situation may change in the future, depending on the evolution of extra-community agreements. If you prefer, you can choose a collection point for your order. If the delivery is made in Albufeira, we will deliver it by hand free of charge.

An important point to highlight is the need to have the complete address and, above all, leave a contact telephone number for the country where the order is being sent. For example, if the shipping address is in France, the contact must be a telephone with a French code, not Portuguese, because the courier will only call a number in the country if he needs more information about the delivery location.

We only use cardboard boxes specially designed for postal shipping. Products are packaged and protected in the best possible way, using only recycled or recyclable material. The filling of the box is made from shreds of colored paper, which gives it a cheerful and appealing appearance. We believe, however, that the important thing is the quality of the content and not sophisticated packaging, which is often discarded immediately and ends up being another environmental pollutant. At the end of the year, there is the option of choosing a box with Christmas effects, but it is still made of recyclable cardboard.
