From harvesting the carob during hot summer days to the manufacturing and packaging process of final products, Carob World closely monitors the entire value chain to guarantee the quality of the manufacturing process of its products.

After conventional harvesting, the pods undergo a first processing stage, which consists of mechanical crushing to separate the pulp from the seeds. Next, the pulp is subjected to a grinding and micronization process, in which it is reduced to powder and toasted to enhance a variety of flavours. Finally, the carob powder is delivered to Carob World’s food engineers, who combine it with other ingredients to achieve the ideal result.

The carob is harvested with manual care and the almonds are toasted at the ideal time. The result is a velvety textured experience that brings together the most distinct and refined flavours of the Mediterranean, leaving a lasting impression on the palate.

It’s simple: after adding the chosen basket to your cart, you can proceed to payment and choose another address where the order will be sent, other than yours. It is important to have the person’s full address and telephone number.

Surely. You can add your message in the ‘Additional notes’ field in the ‘Checkout’ step. We have our own postcards where we print the message we put in the basket at no additional cost.

We have already prepared several baskets for this type of event in the past. We will be happy to develop and present several proposals with a selection of products according to your preferences and budget. Just get in touch with us and indicate your budget, number of baskets and the products you would like to be part of.

Orders are normally dispatched by courier (DPD) and can be sent to any location in mainland Portugal or practically all countries within the European Community (see list). Unfortunately, due to very strict customs restrictions, we are no longer able to ship orders to the UK. This situation may change in the future, depending on the evolution of extra-community agreements. If you prefer, you can choose a collection point for your order. If the delivery is made in Albufeira, we will deliver it by hand free of charge.

An important point to highlight is the need to have the complete address and, above all, leave a contact telephone number for the country where the order is being sent. For example, if the shipping address is in France, the contact must be a telephone with a French code, not Portuguese, because the courier will only call a number in the country if he needs more information about the delivery location.

We only use cardboard boxes specially designed for postal shipping. Products are packaged and protected in the best possible way, using only recycled or recyclable material. The filling of the box is made from shreds of colored paper, which gives it a cheerful and appealing appearance. We believe, however, that the important thing is the quality of the content and not sophisticated packaging, which is often discarded immediately and ends up being another environmental pollutant. At the end of the year, there is the option of choosing a box with Christmas effects, but it is still made of recyclable cardboard.
